Having a graphic with the steps we need to follow in order to do a thorough and exhaustive search will help us not to skip any steps as we do our research. I wish I had something like this when I first started researching. Maybe if I had, then I wouldn't have to go back to the beginning and double check all my research and conclusions! 

You might notice the term B.S.O. on the chart and wondering what that means. The short answer is that a BSO is a Bright Shiny Object. Think about those times when you are researching one person and you come across an interesting hint for someone else. Then before you know it two hours have passed and you are so far off on a tangent that you can't even remember who and what you were orignially looking for. That is a Bright Shiny Object.
