I have my family tree on ancestry.com, however not everyone has an account on ancestry. In fact many don't want an account on ancestry. For that reason I am putting a very basic ancestors report here on this page. This report just shows the direct line ancestors (as well as the dates and places of the major events of their lives), but hopefully it will be detailed enough that you will be able to use it to figure out if we are related somehow. My children are in the number 1 position, their father is #2 and I am #3 on the report.
For those who may not understand how the numbering works: you take an individual's number and double it to find their father, to find their mother you would double the individual's number and add one to that number. After the first generation all even numbers will be a male and all odd numbers will be a female. One this chart I am number 3, my father would be number 6 (3x2) and my mom would be number 7 (3x2+1).
To find an individual's child you would reverse that process. For a man it would be their number divided by two, and for a woman it would be their number minus one and then divided by two. For example individual number 12 is a male so to find his child it would be 12/2=6, and individual 15 is a female so to find their child it would be 15-1=14 then 14/2=7.
NOTE: While I have tried to be careful and accurate in my research, some of the information in this report comes from my early years as a researcher. Some of it is also information that I received from other researchers. So PLEASE accept nothing as gospel fact, verify EVERYTHING for yourself. And if you do see an error, please let me know so that I can correct it.
